This client BLEW ME AWAY with her results. All I can say is “WOW!”This client has 2 young kids and is in her early 30s.Her husband is a dentist who now tells his patients about me and the Tupler Technique.Client TM was of small build – about 5’2 and had a 33 ½ inch waist. She has not stuck with any other exercise program – this one would be a first for her.She had shoulder issues when she first began –holding SO much tension in the shoulders to compensate for her weak transverse muscle. She splinted ALL THE TIME (morning and night) and by the end had IMPECCABLE technique.EVERYONE NOTICED ! By the 6th week I noticed something dramatic – as we proceeded with the workout I commented, “You look SO SKINNY!”IT was such a huge change. And no wonder – by week 6 she had already lost EIGHT INCHES in her waist!AND SHE WASN’T DONE CLOSING HER Diastasis Recti!

By week 8, not only did she almost close her diastasis, SHE LOST NINE INCHES to be an itty bitty 24 ½ inch IDEAL SIZE waist !

I have a question/need advice. I have the splint. I used for a few weeks and saw great results! However, the splint has creases in it and it doesn’t seem as effective as when I first used it. Is there anything I can do to get the “creases” out?

In addition, I am a working mom, so wearing the splint isn’t always flattering underneath my clothes. I am in a professional environment. I find myself always having to wear either a loose fitting dress or a blazer to conceal it. Do you have any suggestions?

Between those two “issues” I’m a little frustrated and concerned that I may experience some setbacks with my results because I am hesistant to wear the splint now.

    Any advice/insight would be helpful!

    Hi and Welcome!

Yes – I know the splint can be very annoying. I am the first one to say that. There are several tips and hints I give my clients that will help.
-wear a tank either under or over the splint to smooth it out.
-you have instant bio feedback with the splint. If you go to bend over and pick something up without keeping your transverse to the spine and a flat back, the splint will roll. If you KEEP a flat back and transverse to the 5th floor then it should minimize that. Great way of telling you if your body mechanics are in line with what you are trying to accomplish
-make sure when you put the splint on you “SMEAR” the veclro -this will help it to keep longer and avoid velcro issues
-handwash only. To get the crease out, you can soak it in fabric softener and water – then allow to air dry – hang – and it should help with the crease
-wear at night – its a freebie time – you don’t have to worry about adjusting at night
-Keep in mind you are wearing the splint in an area where there is 360 degrees of movement. You WILL have to adjust this every hour or so. I usually tell clients to adjust whenever they use the bathroom as a good rule of thumb
-Realize in a professional environment, there may be a couple of outfits you DONT wear the splint with – just put in on on the way to and from work, and then when you get home.
