Hi again ! Thank you for the article! 🙂
I am now 18 days Post-op..and I know you told me to start doing the exercises 1 week PO.. however my incision has opened up.. I was wondering. is it safe to do the seated tuplers while I am dealing with the wound? I have told so many ppl about your technique! Everyone is LOVING it!! 😀

Hi AnGele! If your incision has opened up, you need to consult your dr. to see if it needs to be restitched. Post-op incisions can open up especially if people

    1) jacknife in/out of bed
    2) don’t pull their transverse in while coughing or sneezing
    3) lift something that is too heavy for them, and aren’t able to keep in the transverse

After getting restitched if needed, do tuplers ASAP to promote blood flow to the area, and therefore healing.

It won’t HURT to do seated tuplers now IF you are doing them correctly – and especially making sure your release is very slow and not a foreward forceful movement.

Good luck and keep spreading the word 🙂

Perfect! Thank you! The incision was infected when I came out of the hospital the next day! I was pulled too tightly and some skin died and created a hole! Trust me.. no jackknifing out of bed here.. been sleeping in a recliner! 😉 lol
